The plant itself is rather innocent, super hardy, and blooms from the inside out right off the root. I went for a lighter sound.

Samuel Wexler and I had performed together on stage at Lucidity Fest and a Knew Conscious street event in Denver. He's a brilliant string player, yielding some interesting improvisations, so naturally we wanted a track of our own that we could play live together. Having already laid the groundwork for the track, we bounced back and forth a few times to get the strings in the right places.

Yes, it's in 4/4, but the division is just wonky. The name of the game here is "don't touch the root", as the chord progression weaves up and around without settling. There's a lot of additive synthesis here with Reaktor's Razor, and I didn't waste the chance to bang on my freshly restrung piano. Sam's addition is heavenly and emotive - I'm looking forward to doing more in the future.
