Coppertone's binomial nomenclature is "sedum nussbaumerianum", but that would've made a terrible song title. The plant, however, is a brilliant banana-yellow with swollen petals that turns towards a red/copper shade in the sun. It likes to grow across stones and rocks thanks to an intelligent root system.

You can hear a bit of that solid stone represented by a steady ohm-like rumble that permeates the track, before flowering in melody at the end. Mike's drumwork was a last-minute experiment in his studio. We had just finished recording 'Euphorbia', figured two tracks is better than one, so he laid down a rip-roaring drumline at the end.

There's a little metallic ping-type sound in the middle that makes me think of plants beaming out sonar signals to each other. I want to believe.
